History of Croatia
Croatia first appeared . . . as a kingdom in the 10th century. For the next ten centuries, it remained a distinct state with its ruler and parliament, but it often served the kings and emperors of various neighboring powers, primarily Hungary and Austria. The period from the 15th to the 17th centuries was marked by bitter struggles with the Ottoman Empire. After being incorporated in Yugoslavia for most of the 20th century, Croatia regained independence in 1991.
Spiritually speaking Croatia has been traditionally Catholic for many years. Most people today would consider themselves Catholics even if they were no longer practicing their faith. The need for new leaders and churches is great in Croatia today.

Jasmin Avdagic & the House Church Movement Jasmin and his friends planted an initial house church over ten years ago in the city of Zagreb which has since grown into a series of six or seven solid churches in Zagreb and now on the coast of Croatia in the city of Sibinik. This movement is innovative, full of passion, and always listening to the Lord on what He is doing next among them.

Roger & Erin Massey
Roger and Erin led a group to Croatia years ago to plant a church which now exists in Zagreb. They quickly found a wonderful Croatian couple, Goran and Maya, who have assumed the role of senior leaders of the new church. The Masseys have been friends of the Browns of PI for years and are doing a wonderful job in their assignment from the Lord.
